Lights Off.

Saturday, March 31 was not only the day of our prom but also Earth Hour. Earth Hour is an organization that held the event where at 8:30 pm Saturday, March 31 businesses, cities, towns, and individuals across the world are supposed to turn off all of there lights exactly at 8:30. Andre' Kuipers (World Wildlife Fund ambassador) and European Space Agency astronaut recorded, from space, who all turned off there lights, as each time zone hit 8:30.

There were more than 5,200 cities and towns in 135 countries that participated. They expected 147 countries and 5,000 towns to participated. Including the Sydney Opera House, Empire State Building and Eiffel Tower.

^I'm with Laken. This sounds pretty neat. Lmao, if you look at the map the U.S and Europe are like the only countries that have a ton of lights on..

I didn't even know this existed. I like how the U.S. is still one of the brightest spots on the picture! lol

I have heard of this before but I didn't realize it was Saturday. I think this is very cool and more people should do it
