Snow, Snow, Snow!

Strangely parts of Arizona are covered in snow. Which ended up closing highways, schools, and 180 miles of Interstate 40 in northern Arizona. The snow has buried 2/3 of the state. A resident from Arizona stated,
"The other day it was 65 degrees, next day it is snowing, so it's been crazy, it killed a lot of people's travel plans because the highways are a mess." (Sounds like our weather) The temperatures in Arizona usually range from 90 degrees in December to 130 degrees in July.

I find it very strange how they are getting so much snow and we have none. Shouldn't it be the opposite?

Titanic = Moon????

Researchers: Rare astronomical alignment may have doomed Titanic

There has been new research on the Titanic on how it sank. Texas State University thinks that the sun and moon has something to do with the Titanic sinking. Two members of the physics faculty Donald Olson and Russell Doescher teamed up with Roger Sinnott who is a editor at Sky & Telescope magazine. They wanted to determine how the iceberg stuck in April 14, 1912. There were more then 1,500 people who died that evening when the iceberg struck the ship. Researchers theorize that the iceberg came from Greenland and was hit by the Titanic on the coast on Labrador or Newfoundland in early January 1912.

Here is were the moon comes into play. On January 4th the moon was close to being a full moon and was at its closest distance to Earth in 1,400 years. They also say that the sun was at its closest distance all year. With the sun and moon being that close to Earth it created a very strong "spring tide". Which in turn could have re floated the icebergs to the northwestern Atlantic coast, the researchers believe.

But you never know... : /
